Bias, Unconscious Bias and Malignant Alienation in the Client/Professional Relationship

  • Session Lead: Philip Battista, CNTW
  • Session Times: 1.30pm - 2.30pm

Including: support workers, housing staff, teachers, college staff, GP’s, nurses, paramedics, clerical and admin staff, advocates, midwives, staff working in supported accommodation.

What will I learn:

It is so important in modern practice that as professionals, we realise that not only does our clients upbringing, beliefs, religion, culture, and social circles impact the way they see and engage people and professionals, but also our own upbringing. Essentially, understanding how this can lead to a broken relationship between the client and professional and potentially worse.

This supports: Core adults and children training.
