Our core procedures, safeguarding guides, roles and responsibilities and protocols.

Cumberland Safeguarding Children Partnership is currently using the Pan-Cumbria procedures manual and is divided into distinct areas:  

• Core Procedures (what to do)
• Safeguarding guides (safeguarding children practice guidance)
• Learning and Improvement (Learning and Improvement Strategy, SCRs, CDOP etc)
• Roles and Responsibilities of CSCP (inc. Conflict Resolution Policy and Guidance for Safe Recruitment)
• Appendices and protocols (local and national documents plus user guidance)
• Documents Library (Risk tools, forms, local protocols, practice guidance and models of practice)

Please note: New Manuals, specifically for Cumberland or Westmorland & Furness, will be launched in February 2026. In the meantime, please continue to use the multi-agency procedures and guidance within this Manual.
